International Cooperation

Theatre

The International Cooperation and PR Departement s responsible for the promotion of Czech theatre abroad, the provision of information services for interested parties abroad and the mediation of contacts with Czech theatre artists. The department also promotes Czech performing arts at world fairs and major international events. The department is also home to theCzech Centre of International Theatre NGOs.

Music

The Music Section of the Arts Institute is responsible for the promotion of Czech music abroad, the provision of an information service for interested parties abroad, and mediating contacts with Czech artists.

Literature

The Literature Section of the Arts Institute is responsible for the promotion of Czech literature abroad, the provision of an information service for interested parties abroad, and mediating contacts with Czech artists.

Dance

The Dance Section of the Arts Institute is responsible for the promotion of Czech dance abroad, the provision of an information service for interested parties abroad, and mediating contacts with Czech artists.

Artists inResidence

The ATI has an Artist-in-Residence Programme in which it coordinates residence opportunities abroad for Czech artists in order to help them to join the international dialogue in their field of the arts. As well as sending Czech artists abroad, the Arts Institute welcomes artists from abroad and helps them to form contacts in the Czech arts scene. These activities are coordinated by the Artist-in-Residence Programme of the Arts Institute.

PQ

The Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space (PQ) is the biggest and most important event of its kind in the world, presenting current work by theatre artists from every continent and in every branch of the theatre and related artsworking with performance design and space. The PQ has been held in Prague since 1967. Its traditional exhibition sections are devoted to stage, costume and performance space design and to schools of stage design. The event is accompanied by performances, seminars, lectures, debates, conferences, and a programme for children. More information is available at www.pq.cz.

Culture Programme

The Czech Cultural Contact Pointhas been based at the ATI since 2011. It is supported by the European Union Culture programme and provides consultation to Czech organisations, mainly in the culture sector, about this programme and supports their interest in international cooperation and the organisation of beneficial international projects.
