ATI Volunteer

The Volunteer Programme at the Arts and Theatre Institute in Prague

Become a volunteer at the Arts and Theatre Institute (ATI)! Volunteer work at the ATI will provide you with the opportunity to gain practical experience, apply your knowledge, explore your interests, and enhance your social skills. Volunteer opportunities are open to absolutely everyone – secondary or university students looking for experience, self-employed or unemployed members of the public, senior citizens interested in culture, and people with health disabilities. We will try to find you the right activities so that both you and the ATI will benefit from the experience.

What you can do

In some departments you may be invited to participate in research work (providing assistance on expert research, processing the collections, etc.), and several departments welcome assistance in administrative work (websites, Facebook, Twitter, scanning, photocopying) and assistance in the preparation of individual events (e.g. the preparation of exhibitions). Become a member of the preparation team and get involved as a production assistant for events, an artist, performer, curator, editorial intern, research interviewer and processer, Infocentre staffer, and more. The type of involvement depends on your skills and experience, availability, motivations, and on the duration and frequency of cooperation, and also of course on what opportunities we have available.

Your commitment

Your volunteer commitment (how often and when you can volunteer) will depend on the agreement reached between you and the institute. Below we present some general proposals. As a rule, the longer the duration of cooperation the greater the opportunity to obtain more varied, interesting, and professional work.
